Vauxhall Vivaro Gearboxes
One of our most common gearbox issues is with Vauxhall Vivaros where the vehicle is driven too long after the gearbox develops an issue. It is cheaper for you to have your vehicle repaired than having a complete overhaul on the gearbox. We have saved our customers 1000’s of pounds and usually the vehicle is back on the road a lot sooner.
Semi-Automatic Vehicles
Semi-automatic vehicles can be extremely sensitive. There are a lot of cases where the gearbox, valve body and mechatronics unit are replaced for absolutely no reason. At NCG we thrive on pinpointing the issue directly and keeping the cost to a minimum.
Transmissions & Internal Gearsets
Powershift/DSG/S-Tronic transmissions internal gearsets don’t normally go wrong. The main issues are lack of oil and filter servicing. Dirty oil and clogged filters will cause unsmooth gear changes, bumping into gears, skipping gears, shuddering on take-off, and in some cases the vehicle will go into safe mode. This would dramatically alter the drive of the vehicle and sometimes causing no drive.
Dual Mass Flywheel Replacement
If you’re experiencing vibrations from your vehicle and/or a knocking noise on start-up, this could be a sign of the dual mass flywheel being worn out. It is key to have this checked out before it causes more damage. The DMF is a dampening force that prevents the torsional vibrations traveling from the crankshaft. If the DMF is worn (knocking) it’s not performing properly.
